My name is Amy, and I have designed this blog to be a way to journal about the adventure my family is on. I am not a writer. In fact, writing this blog scares me more than our upcoming move to Tanzania.

I am the wife of an amazing man of God, and the mother of three wonderful children, S, E, and D! My husband, R, and I are moving our family to Tanzania, Africa. We expect there will be many "new" things we will see, hear, smell, taste, and touch. On the flip side of that, there will be many things we will have to leave at "home". Although, I am still hopeful they will build a Chick-Fil-A in the city we will be living in. We will definitely camp out to be first in line for the year of free Chick-Fil-A meals!

I am making sure to enjoy my favorites before we go. We are also making sure our kids have plenty of memory making opportunities before leaving. S, who is 5, and E, who is 3 almost 4, will remember home. D, who is 1, will only remember through pictures and videos. I want them to have lots of great memories of being with family, friends, and our churches.
Well, there is my introduction. I close hoping to be back soon with some insights into our "wild" adventures!

Peace Out!!

  2. I remember you told me that you'll be missionaries in Africa some day. You've worked toward that calling and I'm very happy to see that you're almost there. I'm so proud of you guys. I know God has been faithful in your lives and He will always be. Thank you for being a great example of obedience. We will keep you all in prayer.

  3. Amy, No Chick-Fil-A's here but "chicken and chips" (fries to us Americans)is a pretty standard item on most restaurant menus. If trying to cook chicken at home here, you should know that chickens here are unbelievably small and scrawny (maybe a little bigger than a cornish hen!) so you will probably have to cook 2 or 3 to make a meal for your whole family!

I look forward to getting to know you and your family through your blog and look forward to meeting you when you arrive and come to HOPAC for a visit.
